Prem Mandir is one of the most famous Hindu temples located in Vrindavan, Mathura, India. Here, we share with you Prem Mandir Vrindavan/Mathura History, Timing, and Images.

The Prem Mandir Temple complex spans a mammoth 55-acre. The site has been developed on the outskirts of Vrindavan. The temple has been dedicated to Radha Krishna and Sita Ram.

Prem Mandir Vrindavan

The temple is being maintained by Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat international non-profit, spiritual, and charitable trust.

The figurine of Radha Krishna is situated on the first floor, and the figure of Sita Ram is on the second floor.

Jagadguru Kripalu Maharaj established the temple structure, whose construction began in January 2001. The inauguration ceremony was held from 15 to 17 February 2012.

The temple is surrounded by beautiful gardens & fountains. The temple complex also depicts four “Leelas” of Shri Krishna, namely Jhulan Leela, Kaliya Naag Leela, Govardhan Leela, and Raas Leela.

Prem Mandir Vrindavan History

The foundation stone of Prem Mandir Vrindavan was laid by Jagadguru Kripalu Maharaj Ji on 14 January 2001. The temple was constructed in about 12 years.

Prem Mandir has been made entirely of Italian marble. Here, we share with you its total dimensions:

  • The temple (including its flag) is 125 ft. high, 190 ft. long, and 128 ft. wide

It’s a two-storeyed white monument.

A circumambulation route is present on the Mandir prangan. The pastimes of Shri Radha Krishna have been carved out on the outer walls of the temple.

The walls of Prem Mandir Vrindavan have been constructed using solid Italian marble, which is 3.25 ft. thick. Its huge shikhara is borne by the thick walls of garbha-griha (8 ft). The exterior of the temple displays the loving pastimes of Shri Radha Krishna. The inside of the temple depicts numerous miracles of Lord Krishna as well as many episodes of Radha Krishna Leela.

This temple was opened to the public on 17 February 2012. The estimated cost of constructing the temple was about 150 Crore rupees.

The presiding deities here at Prem Mandir Vrindavan are Shri Radha Krishna and Shri Sita Ram.

A 73,000 square feet dome-shaped Satsanga Hall is also being constructed next to Prem Mandir, which is so big that it can accommodate about 25,000 people at a time.
