Who is Goddess Laxmi (Goddess Lakshmi)?
In Hindu religion, Goddess Laxmi is regarded as the Deity of Wealth, Money, and Prosperity. She is seen as the Symbol of Good Fortune in Hinduism. Goddess Laxmi is the wife of Lord Vishnu and helps Him in his endeavors of protecting the world.

It is said that one should chant Laxmi Mantra for at least 40 days. For best results, one should chant the Laxmi Mantra for 1,25,000 times within 72 days. After completing this offering, one should perform a “Havan” dedicated to Goddess Laxmi.
However, one can also benefit by chanting the Laxmi Mantra 108 times daily. It would be good for you if you can chant Laxmi Mantra 108 times x 5 times on a daily basis.

How to chant Laxmi Mantra?

You can choose any of the Laxmi Mantra or Mahalakshmi Mantra.
Sit comfortably. You can keep your eyes open or closed.
Start chanting the mantra.
You should chant Laxmi Mantra at least 108 times daily.
This process should be repeated for a certain period of time, preferably for 40 days. However, chanting of Laxmi Mantra can even be taken up for a lifetime for best results.
The repetition of the mantra can be done either silently or loudly. It can also be whispered. You can have your discretion for chanting Laxmi mantra and/or Mahalakshmi Mantra.
However, you should establish consistency in the repetition of Laxmi Mantra. Establish a pattern, such as 108 times daily and maintain that for a period of time, say 40 days.
Religiously follow the pattern that you have taken up for the chanting of Laxmi Mantra. It will bring substantial benefit.
It is believed that starting the Laxmi Mantra from Dhanteras or Deepawali yields the greatest benefit to the devotee.
It is often advised that one should sit facing east while chanting Laxmi Mantra. You should light a lamp (Diya) of oil (cow’s ghee). You should also offer lotus flower to the idol or picture of Goddess Lakshmi.
Laxmi mantra should preferably be chanted using Sphatik mala or Kamalgata mala. Finally, when you complete the chanting, sit for a few minutes with your eyes closed and pray to Mata Laxmi and thank for all Her love.
