Ganesh Aarti Meaning
All Salutations to you Lord Ganesha, Victory to you Lord Ganesha Our Lord. You are all mighty and powerful, the son of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva.
Oh Lord Ganesha you adorn a single tusk and possess four arms. There is a Vermilion mark on your forehead, and you ride on a humble animal-vehicle (Vahana) – the mouse.
We (the devotees of Lord Ganesha) make offerings of Betel leaves, flowers, and dry fruits to please you. Similarly, we also offer Ladoos which is one of your favorite delicacies. All the distinguished saints and sages offer their services to you, Lord Ganesha.
Oh Lord Ganesha, you bless the blind men with vision. You even cure the leper of leprosy. Infertile women bear children with your blessings. The poor earn immense wealth with your blessings.

About Lord Ganesha
Lord Ganesha is foremost among deities in the Hindu religion. He is the son of Mata Parvati and Lord Shiva.
Lord Ganesha is the god of all beginnings. He is worshiped at the start of rites and ceremonies.
Hindus believe that Lord Ganesha is the remover of all obstacles. Ganesha is the God of intellect and wisdom, and the patron of arts and sciences.
Many principal Hindu texts are devoted to Lord Ganesha. These include the Ganesha Purana, Mudgala Purana, Ganapati Atharvashirsa, Brahma Purana, and Brahmanda Purana.
Lord Ganesha has been ascribed by many other titles including Ganapati, Vinayaka, and Vighneshwar. Even the Hindu title of respect, “Shri” is often added before his name.
In fact, Ganesha is a Sanskrit word which means “Lord of the Ganas.” He is represented with the head of an elephant.
The most widely popular legend associated with the birth of Lord Ganapati states that Goddess Parvati created Ganesh using clay to protect her. However, Lord Shiva beheaded Ganesh when he came between Lord Shiva and Parvati. Lord Shiva then replaced his original head with that of an elephant.
Lord Ganesha possesses a single whole tusk, the other being broken. He has a protruding belly and rides on a small mouse which was a demon. Lord Ganesha defeated him in a battle, and the demon requested that he would serve him as his vehicle in the form of a mouse.
Many depictions portray Ganesha as having four arms. However, the earliest images of Ganesha show him with two arms. Ganesha wrapped the serpent Vasuki around the stomach as a belt. He has a Tilak mark as well as a crescent moon on his forehead. He is often described as red in color.
Many mainstream Hindu texts associate Ganesha with the concepts of Buddhi (intellect), Siddhi (spiritual power), and Riddhi (prosperity).
These qualities have been personified as goddesses and are said to be Ganesha’s wives. According to Shiva Purana, Shubha and Laabha are the two sons of Lord Ganesha.
In fact, Lord Ganesha is the most popular deity in India. You would hardly find a Hindu home which does not house an idol or picture of Lord Ganesha. So, Lord Ganesha is worshiped by every Hindu. Such is the importance of this elephant-headed God, Lord Ganesha. Ganesh Chaturthi is the most popular festival associated with Lord Ganesha.
